The wilderness has a special place in my heart, the fragrance and colors of the forest, the music of Bach, and the attractions of the chirpy birds and wild animals roaming in their natural environment - it is an aura. To visit the Jim Corbett National Park Uttaranchal federal, I am happy to see us for a while.
A seven hours drive from Delhi, Corbett National Park is named after Jim Corbett, considered one of the first races of hunters’ protectors of nature and the killers of at least 10 man-eaters in the Garhwal and Kumaon hills. We were five families of 18 members, including a group of 6 months of joy. We are in a bus at night on a plan in March and reached Ramnagar the next morning. The path on Kashipur, abundant in green / or wheat fields and mango orchards in bloom, would be ideal for the car but unfortunately I am not on the bike. After the issuance of documents necessary for the FDA, we continue towards Dhikala, Jungle Resort 50 km into the jungle. About 18 km was entering the park, where a souvenir shops. Is a copy of the tomb of Sir Corbett "On eaters of Kumaon" on the way back, I made sure (what I did too). The small road jungle was barely enough for our bus. We had to cross many dry riverbeds brick tower (because of the forest is available for visitors during the monsoon). Bridges, where there was wood and we shudder as we had on them. River Ramganga works like a deer on the road, often with little respite.
Where to Stay: You have a range of accommodation. In addition to pensions in the park, there are several hotels and tent sites at the periphery. They are better to book in advance, but always try before nightfall.
Safari Animals: You probably want to do something, but to get out of bed in the morning. But as soon as you are, the idea of fishing a glimpse of the wildlife is more energy than coffee or tea.
The park opened at 6:30 am, and you can open a jeep for Rs 600 per day. It is fresh, but much more fun, led by mixed forests, and a guide, so you do not miss things exciting on the track. It is probably as much Cheetal spotted deer or your trip, you soon stop paying much reference to them. Keep up exactly, and its beauty. Cheetal have a herd very unstable, defined without a reproduction, which explains why you see deer of all ages in all seasons.
Tiger Chase: We Reveal discovery of a deer. They do when they feel that a predator is near and to warn their companions. We hope, remained very calm, to see a tiger on the tape. All from a great distance, but worth it anyway, a family of wild boar, water birds like cormorants, a very rare red thighed Falco fun, and of course more Cheetal.
The diversity of animal life is protected by a wide range of habitats in the mixed forest and meadows, of course, the rivers, including Ramganga and Kosi.
Nature hike: You can also start the day with a hike. Not more fully in a Jeep. Corbett is home to over 600 species of birds, more than half of the birds, the Indian subcontinent - the beautiful, black-necked stork is only one of them. Black Red starts, also known as the dance of birds, Lapwing and White-Capped red boot, and white breasted Kingfisher to name a few.
I also had the opportunity to see a dance alive. For the measurement of bhudka and Dhol, Kumaon the theme of the novel is a dance between a woman and her brother-in-law! Although the dance is to praise the beauty of women, it is men Kumaon, the role and effort.
The flora was more sweet variety - without thick forest undergrowth. Tall Sal trees with "fire in the forest" here and there and some other colored leaves. We have not been accepted, you get off the vehicle so as not Trekking is possible, allows Horn is taboo. Mobility began observations. First multicolored birds, including wild feathered game, and then discovered the deer and wild boar. While we are on a river bed, was one Tusker Standing by the majestic River estuary, just 100 meters from the hotel and the bus slows down, he lifted his head and was seen as a loss, we have our flight animals could decide at the intruder for his private life.
Finally, we reached Dhikala. It was a group of small buildings at the tree and the beginning of the great prairie, which reminds me of some African village deep in the jungle. The buildings are very strong in harmony with its environment and being in the late 19th century. It is, however, electric fence. The complex is situated above the banks of the Ramganga but it is not allowed to go out on the river of fear of crocodiles and other animals.
The view of the complex was simply brilliant on the one hand, the forest, the width of the grass on the other side and on the third side Blue Mountains in a cloak of fog along the shore. The surge, currents and the fresh smell of the forest. Meeting under a large tree, soaking in the surrounding nature of beauty, it is just another world, far from the madding quantity and toxic fumes - a world without worries.
Since we're just the platform over the river, we frequently heard of deer and wild eyes of the shore. Then someone discovered the movements across the marshy meadows. Elephants! How does the group towards the river, we were able a number. There were over forty of them in two herds! Large and small, they were slow pasture. The night was beautiful - the beautiful star, the bird and asks the cool breeze. The best part of the trip was very early in the morning, Jeep Safari, where as part of the jungle - each piece has a different appearance, smell and color. From herds of elephants in the river is in front of us. Mother and baby elephant followed us for a while. Our guide found a large number of bird species - which we missed on the other - and countless spotted deer, Sambhar etc. The dam - Dhikala Wednesday, (as he called - with its azure blue water and calm) offers a breathtaking view. We are not allowed to water Pick gravel. Nature is here in its original splendor. Part of the film "Kaal" was shot in the prairies, I was told.
We were unable, on the spot, but the cat showed PUG powerful brands. Part of the staff, in the vicinity, but we have failed anyway. The restaurant offers excellent food (vegetables only). A film of one hour of traffic is shown every night, where many interesting facts about the Indians presented. It was indeed an exciting and invigorating, left indelible images in my head. It is a "sure visit" for all Nature / Adventure lovers.
